Save work function |
Within a window it is possible to delete all associated values in one action. This set of associated values is referred to as a 'line'. The value at the start of each 'line' acts as a key to the rest of the 'line'. If this value is deleted then the associated values will also be deleted. To delete the line, delete the first value in the normal way, i.e. Hit the DELETE function key to clear the field, then press RETURN to remove the value. The rest of the values in the line will be deleted and the following lines will shuffle up to fill the window.
The default for this parameter is that line deletion will be permitted. The user can override this by entering a 'N' for this field. However, it should be noted that if insertion is to be allowed then a deletion facility should be provided.
The deletion is a straight forward deletion of data. Should the user wish to carry out some form of processing in the deletion then an insert item should be included to augment the standard deletion facility.
