Save work function |
The user has just defined the fields that are associated together to form a window. These fields will be multi-valued. Each of the values in the fields will be entered on a separate logical line. It is possible to have an indefinite number of values for each field and hence an indefinite number of logical display lines. However, due to the limited size of the screen, it will only be possible to display a certain number of lines from the window on the screen at any one time. The number of lines to be displayed at any one time is the value that is entered here. If the user enters 5, then 5 lines of the window will be displayed on the screen. Each group of 5 lines is referred to as a page. Using the screen function keys it is possible to move between each of these pages as well as between the lines and fields within each page.
It should be noted that the value entered gives the logical number of lines per window. This should tie up with the screen painted by the user in option 2, otherwise the display will appear erratic.
