File layout definition

GO TO definitions

File definitions can contain a larger number of attributes, sometimes in excess of 100. Although this is not good practice, it may be unavoidable. If a large number of definitions are present, the normal window function keys may prove unsatisfactory for moving through the definitions. This being the case, a couple of functions are provided. The first is the GOTO function.

If the user enters 'G=' followed by a number, the cursor will move from its current position to the attribute specified by the number. E.g. G=15 would move the cursor to the definition for attribute 15.

If the number following 'G=' is greater than the maximum number of definitions, the cursor will go to 1 position after the last definition. If no value is entered after 'G=', the cursor goes to the definition for ATT 0.
