Paradyme V4.0 - Manual |
File layout definition |
For this field, enter the full name of the file to which the file reference previously input will refer. This is the name of the entry as it appears in the Master Directory (MD) file. It is not necessary for the file to exist at the time the layout record is entered but, obviously, must exist when the program is run.
Up to 25 characters are allowed for the file name. The name entered here must follow the same rules as those used for the file name as used with the TCL verb CREATE-FILE.
If the user is defining the DICT part of the file then they should enter DICT followed by a space in front of the file name. For instance, DICT F.STAFF would refer to the DICT file part of the file F.STAFF.
