Introduction

The screen for defining file layouts in shown in the figure below.

This screen is used to define the layouts of files to be accessed by the PARADYME generated routine. In addition it provides an opportunity to add documentation notes on each file. In the sub-sections which follow each entry in this screen is discussed.

The following sections gives a detailed explanation of the function of each field.

In summary, this screen does the following:-

Accepts a shorthand code for each file used

Records documentation for each file

Records information on each file attribute as a variable definition

Variable names assigned here are used elsewhere by PARADYME, and also (optionally) to create dictionary items.
