Paradyme V4.0 - Manual |
Starting a PARADYME session |
At the first prompt in this screen, the user specifies name of the item / program / module that they wish to to amend or create. This is a name by which the program and all associated parameter records will be referenced. This includes the item on the F.PARAMETERS file and the name of the generated item. Up to 15 characters will be permitted for this field. If the user enters a name for which no parameter record exists then the message "New Item" is displayed at the bottom of the screen. The default value for this field is the name of the last item name that was processed through PARADYME on the current line (port) number.
If the user has set up a parameter record but cannot remember the reference then a look up facility is provided. By hitting the invert key, the user will be prompted for part or all of the program title, entered in the screen backing option 4. A list of parameter records with titles that contain the search value is displayed on the screen and the user can make their choice from the list
If you do not wish to proceed with the PARADYME session then pressing the EXIT key will terminate the current session
