Paradyme V4.0 - Manual

Menus

Introduction

Once the user has generated several PARADYME screens, a need arises to be able to link them so that they can be run quickly and easily. This is generally done by creating a menu.

A menu provides the user with a selection of functions from which they can choose the one they require. There are many ways this can be achieved, one of which is to generate a menu through option 12 of the PARADYME menu.

When the user selects option 12 they are presented with the screen as follows:-

The screens is comprised of a number of sections which are detailed below

The MENU system does suffer from limitations if the user modifies the COMMON area other than by using labelled COMMON areas. However, this is far outweighed by the benefits of providing a powerful and flexible means of linking routines and processes together. It provides an integrated and secure system that can easily be adapted for the user.
