Menu reference

The first field the user enters in this screen is the menu reference. This will be the reference under which the menu parameters will be saved. In addition, the system will create the MD entry which will run the menu defined. The ID of this MD entry will be the value entered for the MENU REFERENCE.

When the reference is entered, the system checks to see whether there is an item already present in the MD with the same name. If no item exists with this name or it is a PARADYME menu item, the system will accept the entry. If an item already exists in the MD file with the same name that is NOT a PARADYME item, the system will print the message:-

This is the name of an existing non-menu item
