Part of Description

This entry allows the user to specify part of the attribute on which the invert is carried out. If the value entered here is present in any part of the invert attribute, the system will select that record for display. Note that the value match is CASE independent. That is, the system will select a record with an attribute value of "PLUMBING" even if they put "plu" as the entry for part of the description. The user can also leave this field blank to indicate that no search of the description is required.

Note that if the developer has set the "Mandatory Search Value" to "Y" then the user MUST enter a value for either part of the ID or part of the Description. If the user leaves both of these entries blank, the system issues an error message, i.e." Must supply a value to search for" and will not allow the user to go past the "Part of Description" field. If "Mandatory Search Value" to "N" and the user leaves both fields blank then ALL records in the file will be selected and presented to the user.
